Emerson Donald Dennison

Emerson Donald Dennison Thomas Township, Michigan Passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015, at St. Francis Home following a lengthy illness. Age 92 years. The son of the late Archie and Elma (Gotwalt) Dennison was born October 7, 1922 in Brant, Michigan. He married Beverly Krause, April 20, 1946. She passed away August 11, 2006. Emerson served with the U.S. Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. He was employed as Maintenance Supervisor with the Swan Valley School District, retiring in 1988 with over 25 years of service. He was a member of the Saginaw Lodge #155 F. & A.M, the Elf Khurafeh Shrine and the Shields Men's Club. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Jeri and Sandra Dennison; Gary and Joanne Dennison; six grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher Dennison; Lisa and Brad Casper; Mindy and Joel Bauer; Meghan and Sean Pavlowski; Andrew Dennison; Derek and Andrea Birsul; his great grandchildren, Tessa, Jessica, Josh, Zachary, Ryan, Hannah, Braden, Riley, Lexi, Luke and Lane; a great great granddaughter, Emma Jean; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Donald Dennison; Robert and Yvonne Dennison; several nieces and nephews. A great grandson, Justin Smith, and two brothers and a sister, Wayne, William and Leila Dennison have predeceased him. In accordance with Mr. Dennison's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Mr. John Cuthbertson will officiate with Military honors under the auspices of V.F.W. Post #1859.
