Eleanor Tanke

Eleanor Jean Tanke was born on August 19, 1934 in Coloma, Mi. To Donald Elliot Enders and Crystal Joy Enders, (Tyler). Both parents predeceased her. Eleanor went home to be with Jesus in Heaven on January 25, 2020. Ellie is survived by her husband of 66 years, Eugene T. Tanke. She was the loving Mother of three sons, Eugene T. Tanke II and his wife Cynthia, Christopher Tanke and his wife Terri, and Robin Tanke. Eleanor is the grandmother of five grandchildren; Eugene T. Tanke III, Anna Kleinebreils and her husband Timothy, Jennifer St. Clair and her husband Lester, Brandon Tanke and his wife Allison and Stephanie Green and her husband Christopher. She is also a great grandmother of five; Aloysia, Eddie, Jolie, Elliot and Sawyer. Also surviving her is her brother Kenneth Enders and his wife Karen and her two sisters in law Barbara Enders and Fran Enders. Aunt Ellie, or Aunt Eleanor as others knew her was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her brothers; Rev. Donald Enders and his wife Evelyn, John Enders, and Paul Enders. Also preceding her in death is her stepsister Verne Evans. Ellie worked at several jobs in Ann Arbor, Michigan while her husband earned his degree in Architecture. They moved to Oak Park, Michigan and then to Huntington Woods, Michigan where she became a full- time Mom. Ellie was made for this job. She really enjoyed being a Mom to her three sons. Memorial service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday February 22, 2020 at HopeVale Church (4873 North Center Rd. Saginaw, Michigan 48604) in room 100. Visitation will start at 10:00 a.m., at 11:00 a.m. a time for eulogy and sharing, at noon lunch will be provided and at 1:00 p.m. fellowship will take place. There will also be a celebration of life/ open house for Eleanor at her son Genes farm from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday May 16, 2020 (6215 South Hess, Vassar, Michigan, 48768). Lunch will be provided at both services. In accordance with Ellies wishes cremation has taken place, her cremated remains will be interred in areas that were significant in her life.
