Elaine A. Reimer

Elaine A. Reimer Saginaw, Michigan Our loving mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 14, 2017, at the age of 86 years. Elaine was born on August 4, 1931, daughter of the late John and Arletta (Lange) Ruppel in Saginaw. Elaine married Richard Reimer on November 20, 1954. He predeceased her on January 2, 2001. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and a faithful member of its choir. Elaine retired from Sears after 17 years of service. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano and was an avid card player. Elaine adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She will be missed by her four daughters, Connie (Manuel) Brenes of Kalamazoo, Carol (James) Griffin, Kathy Brzeczkiewicz of Saginaw and Judy (Dale) Cline of Auburn; ten grandchildren, Michael (Emily) Brenes of SC, Melissa (Aaron) Patton of Kalamazoo, Melanie (Matt) Sprinkle of Richland, Michelle Brenes of WI, Jessica (Justin) Schlicht of Vassar, Andrew, Alex and Amy Brzeczkiewicz, Alyssa (Tom) Fayfer and Christopher Cline of AZ; four great grandchildren, Jakob and Kelsie Schlicht, Kristina and Mikayla Brenes; her sisters Marilyn Schaible of IN and Carol Card of Merrill; her brother, Edwin (Beverly) Ruppel of Zilwaukee; also many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers-in-law, Hillmar Schaible and Clarence Card. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave. Rev. Robert M. Eggers will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Peace Lutheran Church or the Alzheimers Association.
