Edward R. Kragenbrink Thomas Township Passed away Thursday March 15, 2018 at NHC-Maury Regional in Tennessee, at the age of 88 years. The son of the late Paul and Bessie (Bellinger) Kragenbrink was born September 20, 1929 in Saint Charles, Michigan. He married Jeanette Brodin November 13, 1954. Jeanette predeceased him May 10, 2015. He was a member of State Street United Methodist Church. Edward served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had worked for Grey Iron Foundry for over 30 years, and the Local Union 668. He was a charter member of the Thomas Township Fire Department. Surviving are a daughter, a son and their spouses, Christie and Brian Storm of Georgia; Wayne and Joan Kragenbrink of Tennessee; four grandchildren, Noah and Jake (Jazmine) Storm; Jennifer (Jason) Mallory; Kyle Kragenbrink; three great grandchildren, Avery, Jackson and Lucy Mallory; a brother Robert Kragenbrink; many nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by a son Mark Scott Kragenbrink, two brothers and two sisters Marvin Kragenbrink, Paul Kragenbrink, Esther Pinter, and Ella Mose. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday March 22, 2018, at State Street United Methodist Church, 3617 Mackinaw Rd. at State Street. Rev. Monique French will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors under the auspices of VFW Post 1859 of Carrollton. Friends may call at The W.L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of the funeral service.
