Dorothy M. Wheatley

Passed away on Monday, August 14, 2017 at the age of 91 years. Dorothy was born on May 23, 1926, in Saginaw to the late Frank W. and Mattie (Greenburg) Charrey. During and after her high school years she played in the Saginaw Symphony and the Saginaw Eddy Band. She married Robert E. Wheatley on April 19, 1947; he predeceased her on October 28, 2014. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Germania Club. She had also been active in the PTA, enjoyed golfing, cooking and most especially loved to host large family gatherings. Surviving are her children: Randall (Debbie) Wheatley, Douglas (LuAnn) Wheatley, and Robert M. (Deene) Wheatley; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mollie Wheatley; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law: William (Patricia) Charrey. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 18, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Dr. Robert L. Emrich will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
