Dorothy M. Burgess

Dorothy M. Burgess Frankenmuth, Michigan Our beloved mother and grandmother went home to the Lord on Sunday, July 16, 2017, at the age of 95 years. Dorothy was born March 20, 1922, in Maple Grove to the late Thomas and Katherine (Wenzlick) Andres. She was baptized and married at St. Michaels in Maple Grove, Michigan. She married Robert Burgess Sr. on September 26, 1942; he predeceased her in 1979. She was a faithful member of Blessed Trinity Church of Frankenmuth. She was also a member of the Blessed Trinity Womens club and the League of Catholic Women. She volunteered for "HUGS" at Frankenmuth schools. She was an avid reader, loved long walks, and working out at the gym. She will be forever missed by her daughters, Kathleen Graham, Patricia Matthews, Linda Crisp, and Janine White; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sons, Robert Jr., Kenneth, and David Burgess; siblings, Baby Arnold, Arnold II, and Norbert Andres, Matilda Weckler, Alma LaBrecque, and Elizabeth Gasser. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2017, at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church 958 E Tuscola St in Frankenmuth. Fr. Bob Byrne will officiate with private burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Flint. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Hwy on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will gather at 7:00 p.m. for a prayer service. Friends may also visit on Friday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
