Dorothy LaFleur Griffore Bruns

Dorothy LaFleur Griffore Bruns Kochville Township, Michigan Our loving mother, grandmother and sister, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 25, 2017, age 102 years. She was born on May 8, 1915, daughter of the late Joseph and Nellie (LaPage) LaFleur, in Saginaw. Dorothy was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Parish, Zilwaukee. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, playing cards, crossword puzzles and most of all spending time with her loving family. Dorothy will truly be missed by her daughter, Ruth Lorenzo; 13 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; her sister, Marcelyn Vanderburg and daughter-in-law, Evelyn Griffore. She was predeceased by her children, Arthur, Robert and James Griffore, her grandchildren, William and James Griffore, her sisters, Nell Jean Call and Louise Wagner, the father of her children, Joseph Griffore and her late husband, Lawrence Bruns. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Road. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a prayer vigil and celebration of Dorothys life at 6:00 p.m. and at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
