Dorothy A. (Eichler) Mallory Hemlock, Michigan God called Dorothy home to heaven on June 3, 2017, at the age of 89 years. Dorothy was born October 18, 1927, in Levering, Michigan to the late Malvian and Barbara (Raumer) Eichler. She married Russell Mallory on August 18, 1946; he survives her. They enjoyed 70 wonderful years together. Dorothy was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Hemlock. She worked at St. Peter Lutheran School as a cook and then for the Saginaw Intermediate School District as a bus aide. After retirement, Dorothy and Russell traveled extensively, and spent the winter months at their home in Mission, Texas, where they made many close friends. Besides her husband Russ she is survived by her children, Richard (Carol) Mallory, Bonnie Jackson, and David (Amy) Mallory; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; her sister, Violet Strong; and special friends, Helen and Dennis Solo. Dorothy was predeceased by her siblings, Melvin Eichler, Raymond Eichler, May Hoover, and Isabelle Kent; son-in-law, James Jackson; and great-granddaughter, Raina Mallory. Funeral services will take place at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at St. Peter Lutheran Church 2461 N. Raucholz Rd. in Hemlock. Rev. Dr. William Morris and Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate with burial in Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
