Doris P. LaClair

LaClair, Doris P. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Cartwright Care Center, age 72 years. Doris was born in Saginaw, Michigan January 28, 1940 the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Bishop) LaPorte. She married Frederick Charles LaClair August 15, 1959. He predeceased her March 15, 2002. Doris was a member of First United Methodist Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and was an excellent seamstress. Doris enjoyed dancing, music and travelling. Doris is survived by two children, Fred (Wendy) LaClair, II and Michelle (Randy) Hitchcock; three grandchildren, Eric Johnson, Alexis LaClair and Austin James Hitchcock; a brother, Joseph LaPorte; a sister, Sally (Richard) Horn; several nieces and nephews and two very dear friends, Shirley and Bonnie who were always there for Doris. She was predeceased by her sister Betty Ann. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2013 at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot. Rev. Kathryn S. Snedeker will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Sunday from 2:00 9:00 p.m. and at church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
