Donna R. Wurtz

Passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Age 96 years. Donna was born October 8, 1922, in Brown City, Michigan, to the late Gordon and Beatrice (Hager) Hether. She married Paul S. Wurtz in 1946 in Brown City, MI. He passed away October 1, 2012. Donna received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Central Michigan University and her Masters degree from Saginaw Valley State University. She retired from teaching at Chester Miller School, Saginaw Public Schools, in 1986 with 38 years of service. She was an active member of Ames United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and a life member of the Retired Teachers Assoc. Surviving are two children and their spouses, Amber L. (Charles) Lange, Montrose, MI; Gregory L. (Julie ) Wurtz, Freeland, MI; her grandchildren, Charles (Denice) Lange; Jeffrey (Kim) Lange; Aimee (Sam) Wardin; eight great grandchildren, Travis, Abigail, Cole, Brenden, Brooklyn and Carson Lange; Laini and Loretta Wardin; a step-sister, Nancy Katzinger. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 17, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Burial will be Monday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Brown City, Michigan. Friends may call at the chapel form 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday.
