Donna Meyer

Donna Meyer Merrill, Michigan Donna passed away peacefully yet unexpectedly in the comfort of her own home on January 24, 2020. She was born on March 27, 1953 to the late Don and Pauline (Gross) Smith in Saginaw. Donna graduated from Merrill High School, class of 1971. She later married Reinhart "Gene" Meyer on April 29, 1972 in Wheeler, he survives her. The couple shared a wonderful 47 years together. Donna worked as a secretary for Merrill Public Schools, she retired with over 30 years of service. She frequented the casino, loved gardening, crocheting, flowers, and being outdoors in the summer. Donna especially loved spending time at her cottage on Stevenson Lake. Above all she had an intense love for her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Gene and her three daughters Sarah (Mike) Meyer- Jackson, Shannon (Wade) Meyer and Amanda Ary. Donna is also survived by her grandchildren; Mya, Lillian, Avery, and Keaton as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday January 27, 2020 at W.L. Case and Company, 125 East Saginaw Road, Merrill. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
