Donald Herbert Thiel Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away Friday, March 20, 2015. Age 86 years. Donald was born July 7, 1928 to the late Edna and Herbert Thiel. He married Peggy Thayer, She survives him. He retired from Detail Pattern in Hemlock. He loved fishing, boating and his friends at his longtime home on Sanford Lake. He also loved gardening and riding his bike with his dog, "Susie". Surviving are his children, Robert Thiel; Donna Dixon, Suzanne Thiel and Cindy Thiel. His grandchildren, Lisa (Jim) Wale; Jeff (Leigha) Thiel, Joel Dixon, Andrea (Pat) Szepanski; Tammi Thiel; Irene (Dennis) Little; Angela (Wayne) Page; Amy (Herb) Morey; Amber (Dustin) Spiker; his great grandchildren, Tyler Wale; Saelah Thiel; Jaden Szepanski; Baby Thiel; Tyler and Jarred Little; Courtney and Jessica Ewald; Charlee Mae and Wayne Jr. Page; Nevin and Riley Morey; Brody, Olivia and Avery Spiker; his step-children, Linda (Bill) Stein and Leonard Thayer; Sandy Brown; Kim Korzecki; his step-grandchildren, Bill (Jennifer) Stein and children, Kelly (Troy) Koch and children, Desiree and Shaun Thayer; Molly (Aaron) Bennett; Raymond (Deeanne) Brown; Brent (Chelsa) Korzecki; Kristie (Ryan) Gamble. He was predeceased by his sons, Charle F. Thiel and Paul W. Dixon; his granddaughter, Jennifer Dixon; Great granddaughter, Chelsea Allen and his beloved wives, Patricia Thiel and Jean Thiel and daughter-in-law, Elvie Thayer. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Burial will be in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral.
