Diane Torres

Passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the age of 67 years. The daughter of the late Andrew and Ilene (Charboneau) Mazur was born on June 9, 1951 in Saginaw. She married Ramon Torres on October 14, 1967; he survives her. Diane owned her own at home day care for over 28 years. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and was active in their food pantry program. She was also a member of the Foresters Club and enjoyed her flower gardens, crafts, crocheting, cooking and trips to the casino. Diane especially loved to care for young children and cherished time spent with her family and friends. Surviving besides her husband of 51 years; Ramon, are their children: Renee (Martin) Pokojski, Anna Nyman, Rebecca Torres, Ramon Torres III, grandchildren: Deja Wallace, Destiny Wallace, Ashton Pokojski, Chase Nyman, Tia Pokojski, Oliver Torres, her siblings: Andrew, Yvonne, Teddy, William, Andrea, Brian and many nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends including her beloved cat, Cali. Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her sister Cathy. Memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Fr. John Johnson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service.
