Diane Kay Thompson

Diane Kay Thompson Merrill, Michigan Passed away Friday June 3, 2016 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center. Age 53 years. The daughter of the late Helen Louise (Moulton) and Clarence August Welke was born October 30, 1962 in Alma, Michigan, living in Merrill most of her life. She married Scott M. Thompson, March 16, 1985. He survives her. She was employed by Total Petroleum, Consumers Power, Midland Commerce and currently by Dow Chemical. She enjoyed fishing and baking, especially cake decorating. Most of all she enjoyed her boys and family. Surviving besides her husband, Scott, are two sons, Scott Thompson Jr. and his wife, Justine; Mylan August Thompson; two brothers and their spouses, Ray and Joan Welke; Dan and Nancy Welke; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Kevin and Beth Thompson; Mike and Lynnette Thompson; many nieces and nephews. In accordance with Diane's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at the Edgewood Church of God, 160 S. Barry Rd., Ithaca, Michigan 48847. Rev. Steve Gulick will officiate. A memorial visitation will be held at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday.
