Diane Carter Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, after a short battle with cancer. Age 75 years. The daughter of the late Theresa (Schneller) and Joseph Dzrojkoski was born February 22, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, Class of 1961. She married John F. Carter, December 28, 1963. Her husband of 54 years survives her. She was an active member of St. John Episcopal Church, participating in many church functions. She was employed by A.T. Frank Floor Covering for 25 years and worked with her husband in their business, Carter Excavating. Diane loved to sail and after retirement, she and her husband sailed and lived for a time on their boat, 50/50. They made many trips to the North Chanel, sailed out of Duncan Bay Boat Club, Cheboygan and made many friends along the way. She enjoyed camping, traveling and had traveled extensively around Europe and the United States. Mr. and Mrs. Carter spent winters in Florida which she always looked forward to. Surviving besides her husband, John, are two children and their spouses, Scott and Gail Carter; Jennifer and Jon Grasso; two grandchildren, Trent Grasso and his wife, Raven; Jordon Grasso; a great granddaughter, Charlie Grasso; a sister, Jane Unger; a brother, Larry Dzrojkoski; a sister-in-law and her husband, Margaret and Dave Florip; a niece and two nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Jean Robinson and three brothers-in-law, Cliff Carter, Paul Davis, and Charlie Miles. The funeral service will take place 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. John Episcopal Church, 123 N. Michigan Ave. Rev. Fr. Curt Norman will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then at the church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
