Derral Eugene Gibbs of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Lapeer

Beloved husband and father passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. He was 90 years old. Derral was born on December 10, 1930, in Ferndale, Michigan, to the late Howard and Leona Gibbs. He was a graduate of Flushing High School. Following graduation, Derral proudly served his country by enlisting in the United States Army, serving during the Korean War. He married Evelyn Hutchinson; she survives him. Derral enjoyed gardening, fishing, and golfing.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Evelyn of Saginaw; three sons: Mark, Kenneth, and Kevin; daughter, Tammy, step-son, Michael; step-daughter, Kim.

He was preceded in death by a former spouse, Leota; infant daughter, Terri; parents, Howard Leona Gibbs; two brothers: David and Robert.

Honoring Derral's wishes cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 6:00 p.m at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Julie Bailey will officiate. Burial and Military Honors will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at the Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post 457 - North Branch. lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Alzheimer's Association or the Susan G.
