Debra Ann Bond

Our loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 13, 2019. Age 61 years. Debra was born on June 14, 1958, daughter of Guadalupe Barocio and the late Juan Becerril, in Bay City. She married Nelson Bond on June 29, 1984. He survives her. Debra was a member of Old Town Christian Outreach Center. She was a past board member of the David R. Gamez Community Health Center and a member of the Flag and Prayer Ministry at New Life Ministries, under the leadership of Rev. Rufus Bradley. Debra was an evangelist and loved spreading the Word of God. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Debra will be missed by her husband, Nelson; their children, Melisa (Sean) Melton, Amanda Becerril, Nelson (Beonka) Bond II, Ashley and Allysen Bond; grandchildren, Tila, Delanae, Ahriana, Jada, Audrena, Lauryn and Nelson III; great grandchildren, Braydon and Nyomi; her siblings, Mary Jane (Pedro) Espinoza, Michael, Paul and Margaret Becerril, Mark (Susan) Becerril, Wendy (Ken) Miller, Silverio (Angela) Becerril, Jason Becerril, Katrina Smallwood, Brian (Renee) Becerril and Andrea Barocio; mother-in-law, Delores Bond; sisters-in-law, Melva (Cliff) Bond Boyd and Laverne (Donald) Bond McClure; special friends, Frankie Neveau and Sandra Jimenez; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her daughter Jessica Bond, brother, John Becerril, step-father, Indalaecio Barocio and father-in-law, James Bond. The Bond family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Brittany Manor, Mid-Michigan Health, Dr. Albert Manlapit and Dr. Iftikhar Khan. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at Old Town Christian Outreach Center, 600 Gratiot Avenue. Pastor Don Dinninger will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
