Obituary

David V. Snelenberger of St. Charles, Michigan Beloved son, father, and brother passed away at his home on Thursday, May 9, 2019. He was 37 years old. David Vernon Snelenberger was born on August 18, 1981, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Vernon K. and Barbara J. (Broughton) Snelenberger. He attended St. Charles High School. David worked for many construction companies in various capacities throughout his life, but it wasnt until he began working for Rhode Brothers Excavating that he found something profound, priceless, and meaningful in his life. David had found his niche… his purpose… his fulfillment… and discovered that his co-workers were just not co-workers; they were friends that blossomed into family. For this he was forever grateful. David enjoyed cooking, especially grilling and smoking for his family and friends. Above all, he loved and cherished his children; they were his shining stars, his reason for living. He will forever be remembered for his hard work ethic, his selflessness to family and friends, and for deeply loving anyone he invited into his circle of family and friends. Surviving are his parents, Vern and Barbara Snelenberger of St. Charles; three sons and two daughters: Anthony Bashans; Andreja Snelenberger; Logan Snelenberger; Imre Snelenberger; and Ezmae Snelenberger; a sister, Alicia Snelenberger of Freeland; two aunts and four uncles: Janet Izzo, Carol Broughton, Jack (Jane) Broughton; Dee (Dale) Kellogg; Darryl Snelenberger; and Robert Webber; two good fishing buddies: Jeremy Schneider; and Al Bott. Also surviving are many cousins, extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Kenneth and Annabell Snelenberger; Lee and Irene Broughton; two beloved uncles, Frank Izzo; and Jeff Snelenberger; and a cherished aunt, Leanna Webber. Honoring the familys wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Saginaw County Humane Society.
