David Craig Markin

Loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was 78 years old. David was born on July 2, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan to Samuel and Elsie (Schauman) Markin. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1959. His hobbies included woodworking, boating, and campfires at Houghton Lake.
He is survived by Janice (Gushen), his wife of 59 years; his sons Craig (Antoinette) Markin of South Lyon; Robert (Sheri) Markin of Traverse City; his daughter Rebecca (Kenneth) Kerouac of Saginaw; his grandchildren Laura (Kyle) Labrecque; Michael (Melissa) Markin; Nicholas Kastros; Scott Markin; Peter Kastros; Tyler Markin; Matthew Kerouac; and two great-grandchildren, Cayden and Kaedin.
Per David’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Saginaw. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
