David C. Sapp Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2017, age 77 years. He was born on October 7, 1939, son of the late Clay and Bernice (Schulz) Sapp, in Saginaw. David married Mary VanMater on April 22, 1967, she predeceased him on December 22, 2002. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and retired from General Motors after many years of service. David enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, bowling and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn (Ron) Farrand, Shawn Sapp and Sharon Gay and her companion, Terry Waybrant; three grandchildren, Amanda and Sarah Farrand and Grant Gay; two great grandchildren, Stefan and Emery Heit; one sister Luann (Mike) Marr; also many other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Jim Sapp, nephew, Clay Sapp, Jr. and son-in-law, Paul Gay.
Memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Chapel, 950 N. Center Road. Chaplain Ron Compton will officiate. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
