Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and special friend passed away Sunday September 19, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Alma Hospital. Connie was 68 years old.

The daughter of the late Ellen (Morrison) and Lloyd Knepper, Connie was born on October 1, 1952 in Traverse City, Michigan. She was married to Rosario Cornejo on August 21, 1976. He passed away September 9, 2021. Connie was a Family Service Advocate for Saginaw ISD Headstart for over 20 years up to her retirement. She was a proud member of Community Baptist Church in Shields, Michigan. Connie loved to read and watch Hallmark Christmas movies with her husband Ross. She loved spending most of her time with her grandchildren. Connie also loved playing solitaire on her computer.

Connie leaves behind two sons, Jeremy (Summer) Knepper, Antonio Cornejo and one stepson, Ricardo (Kari) Cornejo. She had two daughters, April (Brian) Cornejo-Minto and Jill Cornejo. Connie had 13 grandchildren, Rakel (Deven) Palmer, Ryan Cornejo, Breanne (Cornejo) Hale, Madison Knepper, Emma Terwilliger, Dominik Cornejo, Teah Minto, Carman Minto, Cole Minto, Wyatt Terwilliger, Christopher Turner, Zachary Knight, and Hudson Frost. She also had two great-granddaughters, Adyson Palmer and Jordyn Knight.

She was predeceased by her husband Ross, her sister, Kim Sprunger, one brother, Joseph Knepper, one brother-in-law, Dave Sprunger, one grandson, Rick (RJ) Cornejo, a special friend, Bethann Williams, and a great niece, Angel Moore.

Surviving is a sister, Sharon Aungst and many neices and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 24, 2021, at W. L. Case & Company, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill Michigan. Burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the funeral home, as well as from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
