Cecil F. Burch, Sr.

Cecil F. Burch, Sr. Saginaw, Michigan Our loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Saturday, November 4, 2017, age 83 years. Cecil was born on February 6, 1934 son of the late Henry and Mary (Rabadue) Burch, in Saginaw. He attended Arthur Hill Trade School and later served in the U. S. Navy. He married Gertrude Raymond on March 27, 1954, she survives him. Cecil retired from the Saginaw Steering Gear after 31 years of service as a Journeyman Die Maker and was a member of the U.A.W. Local #699. After retiring Cecil and Gertrude traveled the U.S. in their motor home, spending six months in Apache Junction, Arizona and six months at their home in Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, hiking in the mountains and playing cards. Cecil will be missed by his loving wife of 63 years, Gertrude; his children, Linda (James) Williams and Cecil "Chip" Burch, Jr.; grandsons, Joshua, Nathan and Daniel Williams; his sister, Edith Burch Dawson; brother, Glenn Burch; sisters-in-law, Emma Burch, Laurel Buchholz and Phyllis Felske; brother-in-law, William G. Raymond; also many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Minnie Kennedy, his brothers, Ray Burch, Guy Lou and Jimmy Burch, sister and brother-in-law, Ethel and Edward Neumeyer, his brother and sister-in-law, Henry and Jaqueline Burch and brother and sister-in-law, Martin and Anna Mackler Burch. Visitation will take place from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at W. L. Case and Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Military honors will take place at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a charity of donors choice.
