Carolyn B. Lauer

Lauer, Carolyn B. Merrill, Michigan Beloved sister and aunt went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 8, 2014, at the age of 72 years. Carolyn B. Lauer was born May 14, 1941, in Pontiac, Michigan, the daughter of the late Emma (Liedeke) and Norman Lauer. She graduated from Lake Orion High School with the Class of 1959. She moved to Merrill with her mother in 1974. Carolyn had been employed as a legal secretary for William E. Jungerheld, Attorney at Law. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wheeler. She enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, gardening, going to auctions and estate sales. She especially loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Walt Helm, Merrill; her brother, Fred Lauer, Hemlock; her nieces and nephews, and their spouses, Teresa and Mike Lentner, Hemlock; Patti and Rich Smith, Elsie; Tim and Becky Lauer, Freeland; Jon and Shellie Campbell, Cottontown, TN; several great-nieces and great-nephews, and one great-great-nephew. Carolyn's family extends special thanks to dear friends Sharon Burgess and Owen Slaught. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2014, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 10020 E. Monroe Street, Wheeler. Rev. Larry Warsinski will officiate. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw Street, Merrill, from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, and then at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Private committal services will take place later at Square Lake Cemetery in Lake Orion.
