Carol Linn Wesling

Loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Carol (Reed) Wesling of Freeland, Michigan, age 66 was met by her husband and together, walking hand-in-hand, met her loving Lord and Savior on December 3, 2020.

Carol was born on June 27, 1954 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, the daughter of the late Wayne and Shirley (Caves) Reed. She graduated from Mount Clemens High School in 1972. Carol married the love of her life Robert Wesling on March 18, 1998. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2020. Carol’s greatest love was her family. She is survived by her children Neil Wesling (Joelyn Amo), Colleen (Joe) Tanner, Kyle Wesling, Mary (Jeremy) Eisenbrandt and Kara (Brett) Koch. Carol also leaves five grandchildren that were the light of her life, and that she loved fiercely, Adena Tanner, Allison and Autumn Schuhmacher, Sophia Tanner and Henry Robert Koch.

She is also survived by six brothers; Gary (Pamela) Reed, Harold (Susan) Reed, Bruce (Bobbie) Reed, Glen (Rebecca) Reed, Dwayne (Christine) Reed and Dale (Marie) Reed. She leaves behind many special and beloved nieces, nephews and extended family.
Carol was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church where she had enjoyed playing in the Bell Choir with her daughter, playing the piano and assisting on alter guild. She had many hobbies including cross-stitching, traveling with her family (especially Puerto Vallarta, Mexico), spending time up north at the family cabin, reading, and playing her favorite Sudoku puzzles.

Carol’s greatest joy though was her family. Family time when all were gathered together was her absolute favorite, and what she treasured the most here on earth. Her calming voice, gentle hug and strong will and spirit is what we will miss the most. She was a fighter until the very end, and we will miss her every second of every day.

Honoring Carol’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be planned in the Spring by the family to celebrate the beautiful life that Carol and Robert Wesling shared. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to their favorite charity.
