Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend passed away on Friday, December 25, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper; with her family at her side. At the age of 100 years.

The daughter of the late Luis and Maria (Perez) Cisneros, Carmen was born on July 24, 1920 in Zacatecas, Mexico. She married Pedro “Pete” Lopez on May 25, 1935; he preceded her in death on September 26, 1990. Carmen was a long-time member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; she served as a Lay Minister, Catechism Teacher and Lector. Carmen also served on the Charismatic Renewal Team and was a long-time member of the La Rondalla Choir of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Carmen was also a very active member of the Cursillo. Above all, Carmen cherished the time spent with her loving family.

Surviving are two sons, a daughter and their spouses: John and Margie Lopez; Gloria and Fred Hart; Julian Vincent and Carmen Lopez; thirteen grandchildren: Gabriel (Amy) Lopez; Jaime (Vilma) Lopez; Victoria Lopez; Leah (Ray) Gamboa; Carolyn Lopez; David (Lisa) Lopez; Lesley Lopez; Danny (Teresa) Lopez; Stevin (Laurie) Weiderhold; Julio (Candy) Lopez; Michael (Sara) Lopez; Patty (Michael) Goodman; Ray (Debbie) Perez; thirty-six great-grandchildren: Jewel, Dain, Maya, Julian, Rayne, Rocco, Jaia, Frances (Tim), Matthew, Christopher (Maddison), Jacob, Michael, Adrianna, Santino, Christopher (Tanya), Secilia, Jocelyn (Alex), Diana, Daniel Jr., Maia, Gage, Jackson, Kaleb, Alexis, Lenna (Patrick), Isabel, Lily, Julian, Jackson, Cole, Tori, Jacob, Brandon, Avan, Cyler, Exton; fifteen great-great-grandchildren: Sailor, Isabella, Kaden, Sophia, Christopher Jr,. Brianna, Skylar, Paisleigh, Liam, Ryder, Mila, Trysten, Fernando Jr., Vincent, Violet; a great-great-grandchild on the way: Baby Symons; and four sisters: Beatrice (Jaime) Furtaw; Mary (Albert) Ramirez; Gloria (Sanchez) Hernandez; Margaret Lupe Leal. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Besides her husband and her parents; Carmen is preceded in death by her former husband: Sindulfo Garza; great-grandson: Baby Roman; great-granddaughter: Baby Amanda; four brothers and three sisters: Elias Cisneros; Manuel Cisneros; Treno Cisneros; John Cisneros; Mary Vera Cruz; Delphine (Isquierdo) Nowak; Frances Solis.

A private family funeral service will take place at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. Gerry Pehler will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
