Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Henry Ford Health System, with his family at his side; at the age of 31 years. The son of Carlos Barrientes Sr. and Pearl Hernandez was born on February 6, 1989 in Saginaw, Michigan. Carlos enjoyed playing video games and watching T.V., especially sports which included basketball, baseball and football. Carlos appreciated tranquil scenery and sight-seeing on many trips and travels. His family would say that Carlos was a jokester and loved to make everyone laugh. Above all, Carlos enjoyed the time spent with his family, especially his nieces and nephew.

Surviving are his parents: Carlos Barrientes Sr., Pearl Hernandez; two sisters: Crystal Hernandez (Jose Cuellar Sr.), Grace Barrientes (Daniel Crawford); four nieces and one nephew: Anyssa Cuellar, Jose Cuellar Jr., Aliyah Cuellar, Nalani Crawford, Sariah Crawford. Carlos was preceded in death by his grandparents: Marcelo and Beatrice Hernandez, Raul and Erlinda Barrientes; and a cousin: Christopher Lopez.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses especially at Henry Ford Health System; especially nurses Mitch, Sarah and Christy, for all of their compassionate care of Carlos.

Funeral will take place at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw. Rev. Brenda Nolish will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
