Carl L. Wade

Carl L. Wade Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Friday, December 26, 2014, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 89 years. The son of the late Mary (Scoles) and Cecil Wade was born October 5, 1925 in Hemlock, Michigan. He married Betty Smith, February 19, 1949. She survives him. He was employed by Dow Chemical Company, retiring in 1985 with 35 years of service. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Midland. Carl enjoyed bowling, fast pitch softball where he managed several teams and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a life-member of the LaPorte Rifle Club. Surviving besides his wife, Betty, are five children, Pamela Wade; Sandra Wade; Cheryl Wade-Beckord and her husband, Henry; Randall Wade and his wife, Kay; Beth Foster; 6 grandchildren, Christopher Dauer; Lisa Barkey; Samantha Beckord; Joshua, Aaron and Jessica Wade; four great grandchildren, Matthew, Austin and Zachary Barkey; Michael Dauer; five sister and three brothers, Agnes Myers; Pauline Richardson and her husband Ed; Margaret Suppes; Grace Chase; Mary Ellen Smith; Herb Wade and his wife, Millie; Bruce Wade; William Wade; many nieces and nephews. Four brothers and two sisters, Howard, Clarence, Gene and James Wade, Edith Hand and Alice Huey, have predeceased him. In accordance with Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2014, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Pastor Kurt Weber will officiate.
