Brian M. Couillard

Couillard, Brian M. Saginaw, Michigan Brian Couillard, 39, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at his home in Saginaw. Brian was a 1995 graduate of Nouvel Catholic Central, where he was active in soccer. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Saginaw Valley State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Michigan State University. He had recently been working as a crisis intervention therapist at Covenant Medical Center. Friends and family will remember Brian for the interest he took in them, his quick wit, sense of humor and his shy smile. He was an avid runner and participated in numerous races including three marathons. His love of animals led him to adopt his beloved dog, Twiggy, a rescue dog. He is survived by his parents, Mary (Kathy) and Gilbert; sisters, Bridget (James) Orth and Katie (Charles) Megan; grandparents, Suzanne and John Griffin; nieces, Mary Frances and Winifred Orth and Cecilia Megan, and nephews, Burke Orth and Charles and Louis Megan; special cousin, Tania Judd; and many beloved aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by grandparents, Francis and Mary Couillard. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 469 Shattuck Road, Saginaw, where his family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of Mass.
