Brenda Louise McLaren

Passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Covenant-Harrison at the age of 76 years. Brenda Duby was born January 16, 1942 in Saginaw to Ethel (Lewis/Duby) Daly and the late Bernard Duby. She married Dale William McLaren July 14, 1962 and he predeceased her April 10, 2015. She was a member of the Catholic Faith. Brenda was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and had been a Girl Scout Leader. She enjoyed bingo, bowling, cards, crafts, camping and dancing but most of all she enjoyed her family. Surviving besides her mother are two daughters, Melissa Anne Fairley and Carol Anne Killinger; many foster children; two grandchildren, Jeremy Joseph Killinger and Kayleb William David Adonyis Fairley; three great-grandchildren, David Matthew Killinger, Isaac Wayne Killinger and Elija Scott Killinger; two sisters and three brothers, Thressa Zolton, William (Valery) Daly, Mary (Thomas Sr.) Anklam, Timothy Daly, and David (Robin) Daly; many nieces and nephews. Besides her father and husband, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, David "Sonny" Fairley, and her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Jerry McLaren. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, St. Helens Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Fr. Ron Wagner officiate with entombment to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will take place again on Wednesday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the service.
