Beulah Claspell St. Charles, Michigan Went home to the Lord on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at the age of 98 years. Beulah was born July 15, 1918, in Porter Twp., Michigan to the late George and Helen (Sawvel) Root. She married her former schoolmate Joseph Roux in 1940; he predeceased her in 1976. She then married Russell Claspell in 1988; he predeceased her in 2007. She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in St. Charles. In her healthier days, she enjoyed needlework, crafts, writing letters, gardening, and attending church. She is survived by her son Duane (Karen) Roux; granddaughters, Nicole (Jeff) Mayhew and Andrea (Justin) Bamberg; and 6 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sons, Jewell DeRoy and George (Cindy) Roux; and several siblings. Funeral services will take place at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 125 E. Saginaw St. in Merrill. Rev. Jerry Larkin and Rev. Tad Jameson will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
