Betty Jean House

Betty Jean House (Pershing) Breckenridge, Michigan Passed away Sunday, October 12, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Age 73 years. The daughter of the late Clyde and Martha (Bohn) Clapp was born August 29, 1941, in Merrill, Michigan. She married Denny House who predeceased her. She was employed by the Saginaw Valley Shopper and active in Real Estate for many years. She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock. Betty enjoyed gardening, going to garage sales and crafts and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving are five children, Beth Pershing; Bobbi and Mike House; Mike Pershing and Jodie Stone; Kathy and Brian Morgan; Steve and Heather House; 16 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Terry, Bernard and Lyle Clapp; several niece and nephews; her God children, Matthew Davis and Carter Clapp. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, a grandson, a son, Jeff House, a sister, Mary Jane Davis, and a sister-in-law, Janice Clapp. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock, MI. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate with burial in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Breckenridge. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, in Merrill from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the funeral service.
