Betty Jane Baldwin

Betty Jane Baldwin Pinckney, Michigan Our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2017, age 87 years. She was born on July 11, 1929, daughter of the late Alvin and Clara (Blotkamp) Wakefield Sr. in Redford, Michigan. Betty was very supportive of her family, loved children and enjoyed caring for them at her daycare center. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed gardening, especially her tulips. Surviving are her daughter, Patricia (John) Spencer of Harrison; son, Brian (Martha) Murphrey of Kalamazoo; her grandson, Jacob Murphrey, who was the light of her life; brother, Richard Wakefield; also many other special relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Alvin Wakefield Jr. and her sister Delores Walters. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
