Betty J. Malone Taymouth Township, Michigan Passed away Friday, February 22, 2013, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Erwin and Florence (Draves) Lehr was born March 31, 1928 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Don Malone, June 30, 1945. Her husband of 67 years survives her. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband, Don, are a daughter and son-in-law, Kay Ann and Edwin Benkert; a daughter-in-law, Peggy Malone; six grandchildren and their spouses, Edwin and Brandy Benkert, Burt, MI; Denise and Keith Mosey, Cass City, MI; Julie and Scott Boden, Hanover, MI; Mike and Nicole Benkert, Frankenmuth, MI; Pam and Bob Oberski; Angie and Jeremy Schram, all of Birch Run, MI; Twelve great grandchildren, Edwin, Zachary and Ali Benkert; Rachel Tanner; Scott and Shelby Boden; Ashton and Emma Benkert; McKenna and Megan Oberski; Jacob and Taylor Schram. Her son, Thomas Malone passed away in 2009. She was also predeceased by a sister, Ruth Salvner and a nephew, Lenny Salvner. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Thomas Schmied will officiate with burial in Cook Cemetery, Taymouth Twp. Friends may call at the Chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday.
