Beth Ann (Morse) Davis, 72, passed to her eternal reward on May 1, 2019. She is walking the streets of gold with her mom, dad, and her brother Bob. Beth was born on May 31, 1946 in Bay City, MI to the late Rev. Robert and Louise (Sheldon) Morse. Most of her life was lived out of Shields, MI. Beth married James L. Davis on August 15, 1964; he survives her. Together, they owned and operated The Western Exchange retail store. Beth also worked for JCPenney, the Family Christian Book Stores, and for her brother at his Sunoco Station. She was a member of Midland Free Methodist Church, where she was an interpreter for the deaf. Beth has queued square dance rounds since 1977. She enjoyed lighthouses, especially Great Lakes lighthouses, camping, hiking, cross country skiing, painting, and was an avid reader. Beth loved to spend time with her family and cherished beating Jim and John at games played in the evening. She especially enjoyed BUNCO games with the deaf ladies group. Surviving besides her husband of 54 years, Jim, are their children: Karen (Steve) Orban, Diane (Ron) Shelden, Dawn (Ryan) Mack, her grandchildren: Alicia Gehrcke, Jessie and Brooklyn Mack, CJ, Brandon, Benjamin Shelden, her sister Mary (Gary) Mace, sisters-in-law Betty (Bill) Hofmann, Joyce Fisher, her brothers-in-law Bill (BobbiSue) Davis, Charlie (Mary) Davis, her adopted sister Doreen Buddle and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Rev. Robert and Louise Morse, brother Bob Morse, sisters-in-law Sharon Morse and Helen Gulliver. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 at the Midland Free Methodist Church, 5821 Eastman Ave, Midland, MI. Pastor Gene LeForge will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday at church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Midland Free Methodist Church Scholarship Fund for Covenant Hills Camp. www.casefuneralhome.com
