Asuncion Osuna

Asuncion Osuna Carrollton, Michigan Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister went home to the Lord on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, at the age of 80. Asuncion was born August 15, 1935, in Laredo, Texas to the late Andres and Consuelo (Gonzales) Luna. She married Abel Osuna Sr. on September 17, 1954; he survives her. God was first and foremost in her life. She was a strong woman of faith and a devoted wife and mother, sharing her Godly Gifts with many. Anyone that entered her Christian home never left without the Word of God and her great cooking. Besides her husband she is survived by her children, Maria del Rosario "Rosie" (Oscar) Garcia, Oscar (Josie) Osuna, Martha Lozoya, Oralia (Juan) Garza, Homer (Lucy) Osuna; daughter-in-law, Esther Osuna; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Juan "Polo" Luna, Camila "Connie" Konesko, Marcelina Rico; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was predeceased by her son Abel Osuna Jr.; and her siblings, Petra Carielo, Luisa Arocha, and Bernardo Luna. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 4, 2015, at Harvest Assembly of God 625 S. 17th Street. Rev. Jerry Flores will officiate with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will have a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
