- Saginaw, Michigan - Passed away Friday, January 29, 2010, at the Cartwright Care Center. Age 64 years. The son of Alice (Kapp) and Fred Cruz was born July 17, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was employed by Bridgeport –Spaulding Public Schools at Atkins School. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral and enjoyed bowling. Surviving are his mother, Alice, and a brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Cathy Cruz, Saginaw; a nephew, Frank Cruz; a niece and her husband, Wendy and Kip Humpert; three great nephews, Zachary, Alec and Max. A nephew, Robert Cruz, has predeceased him. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2445 N. Charles St. Saginaw. Rev. Emmet t Marceau will officiate with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may call at the W.L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Rd. from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Sunday and then at the Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral liturgy.
