Richard Cody Skillman Obituary

Passed away Friday, January 19, 2018, at the age of 21 years.
The son of Wanda (Peck) and the late Ozzy Skillman was born February 7, 1996, in Fairfax, Virginia. He attended Baker College of Owosso, and the Tri-Area Trucking School in Freeland. He drove trucks for Crop Production Services in Henderson, Michigan. Cody was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was good at tinkering and restoring old equipment. Cody also enjoyed woodworking and making duck calls.
Surviving are his mother, Wanda; his siblings, Gregory Scott Skillman, Wisconsin; Remington Lee Peck-Skillman, O’Ryan Zachary Skillman, both of Marion Springs; his grandparents, Richard W. and Linda L. (Kinsey) Peck, Chesaning; Shirley E. and Gregory Lang, Virginia; nephews River and Remington Maki, Wisconsin; aunts and uncles: Jeffery R. (Anissa) Peck, West Virginia; Jill Peck, Marion Springs, Michigan; Bruce Beam, Virginia; Chase (Desiree) Beam, West Virginia; cousins, Tyler Mason, Caitlin Mason, Jacob (Briahna) Mason, Erin Peck, Marissa Peck, Andrew Peck, Cameron Beam, Dylan Beam; great-cousins, Caeden Shaut and Garrett Mason; many loyal friends.
Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 125 E. Saginaw St., Merrill on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Marion Township Cemetery in Marion Springs. The funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 27, 2018 at East Washington United Brethren Church, 8051 S. Crapo Rd., Ashley, MI. Rev. Lee Palmer will officiate.
