Obituary

Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Thursday, June 27, 2019. He was 92 years old. R. Ronald Zeros was born on December 20, 1926, to the late John and Mable V. (Eberhardt) Zeros, Jr. He attended Saginaw High School and at 17-years-old he proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he earned his high school diploma. Ron served in the Navy from 1944 through 1947, receiving an honorable discharge along with many awards and commendations. Upon his return, he attended Ferris State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He married the love of his life, Shirley Ann Mason on April 10, 1954, in Angola, Indiana; she survives him. Ron became a certified public accountant on August 8, 1957 and formed the firm Foulds and Zeros until December 31, 1985. On January 1, 1986, Ron, along with his son, formed Zeros and Zeros. He was a member of the Riverside Kiwanis Club. From 1969 to 2010, Ron was a member of the Germania Town and Country Club, and served as a treasurer from 1985 to 1993. He also served on the Frank N. Anderson Foundation. Ron was a lifetime member of both the AICPA and MACPA, the Pulaski Club, and American Legion Post #439. Ron was also a Justice of the Peace in Spaulding Township. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, but above all loved and cherished his family and friends. He treated each day with enthusiasm and looked forward without regrets.

Surviving are his wife, Shirley Ann Zeros of Saginaw Township; son, Thomas Zeros of Saginaw Township; daughter, Suzanne (William) Waack of Auburn Hills; three granddaughters, Adrianna, Alexandria, and Andrea Waack of Auburn Hills; two brothers-in-law, Jack Mason of Houston, TX; Ronald (Frankie) Mason of FL; and special caregivers, Jo Goodwine and Joe Snead of Saginaw.

He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Carol (John) Stanulis, brother-in-law, Donald Mason.
